This is the on-line version of my Public Program Evaluation
Course.
It is a project-based
course designed to empower you as competent evaluator as well as a savvy consumer
of evaluations. My role is to serve as your consultant (the guide on the side, not
the sage on the stage), advising you on evaluation strategies, methods, and ideas for developing a solid,
client-focused deliverable that meets the needs of people who want to know how well things are going
and what they can do to improve their programs.
This website is your toolbox. Pick the tools that
fit your situation, problems, and issues. Not all materials will be relevant to your project, but you need
to understand what is in the box and how to choose the appropriate tool. I will help
you navigate the site and advise you on choosing what is right for you, while explaining
how other tools are used as well. Eventually, you should be able to defend your
own choices with the understanding of alternatives and why they do not fit your situation.
